Simple products
Simple Product is the most popular product type of a store. In DCKAP PIM, it is also defined as its name, which means that this kind of product is sold as a single item ( without any configuration selection). Every single product has its own SKU (Store Keeping Unit) code.
How to create a simple product ?
Login with your credentials.
Use the left side menu navigation to click on Product and view the Product listing page.
Click on the 'Create Product' button at the top right to open the form.
Enter the required fields.
Click on the 'Save' button.
Users can edit simple products by clicking on the pencil icon against the product, in the products list view or edit option in grid view.
Users can delete simple products by clicking on the trash icon against the product, in the products list view or delete option in grid view, and confirm the delete pop-up.
Configurable products
Configurable products are a kind of product that includes many simple products. The collection of various products with different variants / options like colors and sizes but each single product has a separate SKU.
How to create a Configurable product ?
Navigate to the product module, Select a simple product which you want to create a configurable product listed in the table.
click on the pencil icon in the product list view or edit option in grid view.
only simple products should be selected in the list, then it will redirect to the product edit page.
Click on the product type tab on the right side of the screen.
Select configurable product and it will navigate to the list of configurable products page
Now users can create configurable products in two ways,
There are 2 steps to create configurable products
Step 1 : Assign existing simple products to create a configurable product.
click on the “Assign” button.
Select any products in the table, click on the next button.
Select attributes users want to assign, click on the next button.
Select option in the variant table.
And then click on the create button.
Step 2 : Create new products for existing options.
Click on the “Add variant” button.
Select attribute group, click on the next button.
Select attribute options, click on the next button.
Enter the SKU to create new products.
And then click on the create button.
Users can edit configurable products by clicking on the pencil icon in the configurable products list.
Users can delete or unassign configurable products by clicking on the trash icon in the configurable products list, and confirm delete pop-up or unassign.
Grouped products
Grouped products are a group of Simple products which share the same characteristics or are related to each other. It can save more than buying separately, increasing the sale.
How to create a Grouped product ?
Navigate to the product module, Select a simple product which you want to create a grouped product listed in the table.
click on the pencil icon in the product list view or edit option in grid view.
only simple products should be selected in the list, then it will redirect to the product edit page.
Click on the product type tab on the right side of the screen.
Select grouped product and it will navigate to the list of grouped products page.
Click on the “Assign” button and then the list of products in pop-up are listed.
Select products to group then click on “Assign“ button
Users can edit grouped products by clicking on the pencil icon in the grouped products list tab.
Users can delete grouped products by clicking on the trash icon in the grouped products list, and confirm the delete pop-up.
Bundled Products
Bundled product indicates a customizable product combination that you can build for your own. Each item in the bundle product can be based on one of the simple product type.
How to create a Bundled Products ?
Navigate to the product module, Select a simple product which you want to create a grouped product listed in the table.
click on the pencil icon in the product list view or edit option in grid view.
only simple products should be selected in the list, then it will redirect to the product edit page.
Click on the product type tab on the right side of the screen.
Select grouped product and it will navigate to the list of bundled products page.
Click on the “Add Option” button and then enter all required fields.
Click on the "Add Products" button and select list of products to display under the bundle.
Click on "Save" button to save all products listed in the particular bundle.
Users can edit bundle products by navigating to product type tab in a bundle product and save the changes.
Users can delete or unassign bundle products by clicking on the trash icon in the bundle accordion products list, and confirm delete pop-up or unassign in action section.
